Better questions.
More useful
Tessitura reports.

Give your AI agent a practical working method for Tessitura: select the right report, set the parameters, export carefully, and check what the numbers actually mean.

WHAT IT DOES

From a question
to evidence
you can use.

Tessitura holds information that matters to ticketing, fundraising, finance, and organizational decisions. Getting a useful answer means understanding both the report and the operation behind it.

Reporting & exports

Choose a report that matches the question. Make dates, filters, parameters, and row meaning explicit. Validate exported files before analysis.

Lists & analytics

Work through constituent lists and analytic views with attention to selection logic, joins, duplicates, and the population being counted.

Finance & reconciliation

Distinguish transactions, payments, pledges, credits, and adjustments. Reconcile totals and identify discrepancies that need review.

Repeatable workflows

Record reusable steps and checkpoints. Keep an interrupted task recoverable and make the source of each conclusion clear.

YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Windows at the center.
Remote access
included.

DEFAULT PATH

Windows-native Tessitura

The skill begins with Tessitura running on Windows. It guides the agent to identify the active application, confirm the environment and permissions, and use available local controls and export locations.

ALTERNATE PATH

Citrix, macOS & remote desktops

Reusable remote-operation guidance covers the extra steps: window focus, coordinate stability, client versus remote file paths, export handoff, and recovering from an interrupted connection.

The reporting method applies across both paths. Operating the application requires a compatible agent with authorized desktop or remote-control tools and your existing Tessitura access. The skill supplies guidance; access and tool availability come from your setup.

Install with Codex

Copy this prompt into Codex, where the built-in skill installer can fetch the versioned skill from GitHub:

$skill-installer Install the tessitura skill from https://github.com/mglenbarker/tessitura-skill/tree/v1.0.0/tessitura. Preserve any existing organization-specific skill; ask before replacing it.

The installer handles the local destination. Keep an existing organization-specific Tessitura skill intact rather than replacing it without review. Read the official skill setup guide.

Prefer a download?

Download the release ZIP and extract its tessitura folder into the skill location supported by your agent. For current Codex, a project can use .agents/skills/tessitura/; your personal skill folder is ~/.agents/skills/ (%USERPROFILE%\.agents\skills\ on Windows). See the repository README for setup details and optional Python helpers.

A useful first task

“Use the Tessitura skill to help me define a report for this question. Confirm the date basis, filters, and row meaning before running it, then explain how we’ll validate the export.”

Compatible agents can use the SKILL.md instructions and references. Each host has its own installation and desktop-control capabilities.
